Each day we will reveal our “tip of the day” regarding the #Winter20 release. Today we are going to speak about the filter feature in Salesforce.

What’s new: filter feature in Salesforce

With Winter’20 release and as a Lightning user, you can now stay organized with your favorite lists by adding new filters based on your topics.

To create a new filter, go on an object, and from the List View Controls, edit the List Filters.

Edit your list filters — If you don’t have permission to edit this list view, « Clone » a list view, and save it under another name.

On the filters panel, click the filter you want to change, select the field “Topics”, select an operator (ex: equals, excludes…), and enter the Topic value you want to filter, then click « Done » and here we go!

We love it!

The filter feature in Salesforce allows Lightning users to benefit from the same features as Classic users. It is one more reason not to switch to Classic.

You can learn more about this feature in the Release Notes here.

And in the Salesforce Help documentation here.

If you want to learn more, check out our article Day 17: Analyze Your Lightning Page Performance.
