When someone want a right in Salesforce, just for the day, or the week and you give them a permission set (or a permission set group), you already knew that you will forget to remove it after their actions ?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

What\u2019s new\u00a0today?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This time is over ! Salesforce brings us a new feature in the Summer\u201921 that allows admins to set an expiration date on a permission set assigment !<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To do that, just make sure that the feature is enabled on your org by going through the Setup -> User Management Settings, and check \u201cPermission Set Group Assignments with Expiration Dates (Beta)\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When activated, when you go on a permission sets, you\u2019ll be able to see a new button called \u201cManage Assignment Expiration\u201d (picture below)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On click, you can see a list of the current people that are affecting to this \u201cAssignment Expiration\u201d, and you can add others by clicking on \u201cNew\u201d. Then, you can select a user and click \u201cNext\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

On the next screen, you can specify the expiration date by selecting an already defined date or create your own custom date.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

When completed, click on the \u201cAssign\u201d button. And voila\u00a0! If the assignment is successful, you\u2019ll see a status of \u201cSuccess.\u201d (picture below)<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
