During our #TexeiAdventCalendar, we’re sharing some small tips we like, for instance new stuff coming from the Winter ’21 release. Today we are going to talk about Auto Add Fields.
This is one small improvement that you may have missed, the ability to auto add new custom fields to custom report type layouts.
Remember every time you created some new fields, and then got feedback from users a few days later that the field wasn’t available in reports ? No more happening with this new feature.
Just look for ”Reports and Dashboards Settings” under Setup, and check “Auto add new custom fields to custom report type layouts”.
And that’s it, your new fields are now available in Report Builder !
Note that this feature is currently in Beta, but it’s a good opportunity to try it now ! You can find the Release Notes details here.
